Stage 1 · Basics first
Bread, milk and the everyday things.
Four things: groceries, food to go, age-restricted products and everyday services.
A convenience store earns its name by stocking the thing you ran out of, in the size you need tonight, not a multipack. We would rather carry fewer lines and have the basics in than fill shelves with slow stock, and if we do not have something we will order it.
Bread, milk and the everyday things.
Singles, not only multipacks.
We will order things in.
Told when we cannot get it.
Name and full ingredients listed.
Emphasised, as required.
For anything a label cannot cover.
Rotated, and reduced before expiry.
Anything prepacked for direct sale here carries a full ingredient list with allergens emphasised, as the law requires. If an allergy is serious, ask us at the counter rather than relying on a label alone, because we can tell you what is handled nearby.
We ask anyone who looks under 25 for photographic ID, and we refuse without it. We also refuse proxy sales — buying alcohol for someone under 18 is a criminal offence for the adult doing it, and the till is not the place to argue about that. Refusals are logged.
Asked if you look under 25.
Passport, driving licence or PASS card.
Without ID, or on a proxy sale.
Every refusal recorded.
Bill, barcode or QR code.
At the counter, quickly.
Keep it as proof of payment.
Held for the carrier's stated period.
The services that save a trip into town: paying a bill, topping up a meter or a phone, dropping off a return or collecting a parcel. Opening hours matter more than anything for these, which is why we are open seven days.
Ask at the counter. If a supplier carries it, we will order it in.
